Trust Iconic Desk

Overview

The Trust Iconic Desk is the irregular-shaped desk of Poltrona Frau's Trust executive office system, credited to Lievore, Altherr and Park. It comes in three sizes: 183 × 97 cm, 214 × 107 cm and 228 × 137 cm, and in a 214 × 107 cm version with a storage unit.

Construction

The top is oak TW veneer with a leather or saddle-leather working pad, or leather / saddle-leather upholstery. The legs are MDF, veneered in oak TW or covered in leather, and made for cable management. A black lacquered steel frame joins the legs to the top.

Beyond the traditional workstation

The page says the Trust desks go beyond the idea of a traditional, distant and static workstation. The top eliminates sharp edges to express openness and dialogue, and its rounded edges are meant to improve the posture of the person working at the desk.

Multiple sides and positions

According to the page, the dynamic, irregular shape of the Iconic Desk encourages sharing by offering multiple sides and work positions. In the medium size an asymmetrical version rests on one leg on one side and on a storage unit on the other.
