Description
Overview
Trono is an original stool by Umberto Bellardi Ricci for Tacchini. It stimulates interaction between architecture and design and explores the dialogue between shapes, textures and different materials.
Construction
A wooden frame forms the internal structure and multi-density polyurethane foam provides the padding. The base is color-coated steel, made with industrial materials, and upholstery comes in 34 fabrics and 6 leathers.
Specifications
The round stools are 45 cm in diameter (W x D 45 x 45 cm).
Story
Cube and circle
Umberto Bellardi Ricci starts from two simple geometries, the cube and the circle, and turns them into a support for the sitter: a throne.
Raw materials and refined textures
The generous shapes of the seat contrast with the static, minimalist leg. The structure highlights the fine contrast between raw materials and refined textures and fabrics, in a stool that sits between architecture and design.
