Trio Outdoor

Overview

The Trio Outdoor armchair is part of Trio Outdoor, a version for open-air settings by Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27. The woven wicker-effect cord frame that welcomes the soft seat and backrest cushions contributes to an ultra-lightweight aesthetic.

Construction

• Weight-bearing frame: teak in solid form (Tectona Grandis), First European Quality grade, kiln-dried with a natural finish; CNC-machined, with dowel and screw joints
• Seat frame: stainless steel with a bronze epoxy powder-coat in a glossy anti-fingerprint finish, covered in Ø 5 mm wicker-effect woven fibre
• Structural frame: aluminium with the same bronze epoxy powder-coat; decorative stainless-steel screws on the legs are varnished to match
• Cushions: a seat cushion and a backrest cushion with a high-resilience polyurethane foam and viscose fibre fill, joined by a zipper and held by teak frogs
• Feet: black polyethylene protectors that can be adjusted

Teak in differing thicknesses

Trio Outdoor is a version for open-air settings built around a refined wood frame. Teak is smoothed to differing thicknesses in a reinterpretation of cabinetmaking, giving essential lines that echo the purity of Rationalism.

Cord frame around the cushions

The seat has an ultra-lightweight aesthetic, helped by the woven wicker-effect cord frame that receives the soft seat and backrest cushions. Decorative stainless-steel screws on the legs, varnished to match the metal frame, are present on the legs near where they are joined to the frame.
