Overview
The Traverse Dining Bench comes from the Traverse collection that Erwan Bouroullec designed for HAY. Heat-treated ash forms its slatted seat, a die-cast aluminium frame carries it, and it can be used with Traverse tables.
Construction
- Frame: die-cast aluminium, shot-blasted, with a lacquer meant for outdoors
- Slats: solid ash, heat treated, with outdoor wood wax oil
- Seat: 38.5 cm deep and 46 cm high

Ash that changes colour
The bench joins a die-cast aluminium frame to a seat of heat-treated ash. Over time UV radiation changes the colour of the wood surface, turning it silvery grey across a period of months to years.
