Traverse Chair

Overview

The Traverse Chair is an outdoor chair designed for HAY by Erwan Bouroullec and part of the Traverse collection. Its slatted seat in heat-treated ash sits on a die-cast aluminium frame, and the collection is conceived to blend in wherever it is placed.

Construction

• Aluminium: die-cast, shot-blasted and coated with an outdoor lacquer; the die-cast parts hold at least 60% recycled aluminium
• Wood: solid ash slats, heat treated and protected by outdoor wood wax oil

Robust build, inviting expression

Die-cast aluminium and ash slats give the chair a robust construction with an inviting expression, and the ash patinates naturally as it ages. Together with Traverse tables, the chair is used in dining and social set-ups.
