Torii Bold Ottoman

Overview

The Torii Bold ottomans are, in Minotti's words, softly rounded volumes with a solid, compact aesthetic, offered in different shapes and sizes and also on castors that make them easy to move. The page says they set a more informal mood in the living room when paired with the other seats of the collection.

Construction

• Seat: plywood in several thicknesses under a foam coating (polyurethane, resilient, density varying)
• Piping: a piping around the edge of the seat cushion, in eco-leather or eco-nubuck, with top stitching on the seat cushion upholstery
• Covers: off entirely on both the fabric and the leather versions
• Base: metal in a polished Bronze anti-fingerprint varnish; the castor versions are built with nylon and thermoplastic polyurethane rubber

• Angled ottoman, fixed: 152 x 68 cm in plan; the drawing also carries a single vertical value of 41 cm without a label

Minotti introduces the ottomans as belonging to the family of seats of the same name, the Torii Bold seats. Beyond the angled ottoman shown here, the page lists a 152 by 59 cm ottoman and, on its technical sheet, a smaller angled one and three round ottomans of three diameters.

Piping chosen by the company

Where the client does not state a piping colour on the order, the company chooses it. In an all-fabric version the piping is contrasting but in the colour family of the fabric; in an all-leather version it is made in the same leather.
