Overview
Striad Tables are pedestal occasional tables designed by Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub to coordinate with the Striad Lounge Chair, in two heights and four top sizes.
Construction
Veneer, laminate, stone or back-painted glass tops with a modified bullnose edge sit on a four-star base finished in white, black or polished aluminum; the larger tops accept a centre power cutout.
Specifications
The representative table has a 42 in diameter and a 16 in height; the other sizes are 36 in at 16 in high and 24 or 27.5 in at 21.5 in high.
Story
Comfort extended to the table
Herman Miller says the Striad Tables carry forward the idea of comfort that led Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub to design the Striad Lounge Chair. The tables are meant to bring a confident presence to varied work settings, anchoring a space the way a coffee table does at home.
One base language
The base follows the profile and materiality of the lounge chair's four-star base, so seating and tables read as a set. The designers sum up their approach on the product page: function brings its own aesthetic.
