Description
Overview
The Softwall Screen is a multifunctional screen designed by Busetti Garuti Redaelli for Ligne Roset. It is a workstation that can be set up in the corner of a room such as a living room or a bedroom. The foam-clad, fabric-covered vertical panel gives visual intimacy and sound insulation, and the bookshelves and small work surface let a laptop or tablet be used in quiet.
Construction
The panels are MDF with a fire retardant polyether foam upholstery, and both faces carry Kvadrat Canvas laine, a fire retardant fabric of 90% wool and 10% polyamide. The shelves are MDF finished in satin anthracite-stained ash veneer. The screen stands on 4 adjustable jacks.

A workstation in the corner of a room
Softwall is a multifunctional screen that sets up as a workstation in the corner of spaces such as a living room or a bedroom. The vertical panel is clad in foam and covered in fabric, which brings visual intimacy and sound insulation. The bookshelves and the small work surface allow a laptop or tablet to be used in peace and quiet.
Wool fabric and veneered shelves
The covering is woollen Kvadrat Canvas laine fabric, offered in 45 colours, and the shelves are wood veneered in satin anthracite-stained ash. The neutral shelf finish and the wide choice of fabric colours let the screen fit into an existing decorative scheme. Woollen fabric and veneered shelves are the warm materials of the piece.
