Overview
Rib Sideboard Soft Black is the long storage unit in the Rib collection by Normann Copenhagen, created by Simon Legald. Its front is built from trapeze-shaped solid oak slats, and a push latch replaces the handles.
Construction
Oak veneer, painted and lacquered, forms the frame, while solid oak makes up the slats and base, all FSC certified. The shelves inside are removable and adjustable in height. Colors are Oak and Soft Black.
Specifications
159 x 45 x 86.5 cm (Rib Sideboard Soft Black, 607753).
Story
Slats from the summerhouse
The slatted front of Rib Sideboard recalls the vertical wooden slats on the facades of Nordic summerhouses from the 1960s. Trapeze-shaped oak panels carry that detail over to the furniture and add character.
One of the first pair
The sideboard belongs to the 2022 Rib collection, together with the Rib Cabinet. It is the larger of the two and is meant for the living room as a TV stand or for the hallway.
