Form-pressed chair
Audo presents the Ready Dining Chair as the result of a study of form-pressing techniques. Its cantilevered seat and back refer to classic free-swing chair designs. The selected configuration combines a Natural Oak base with Audo Bouclé 02 upholstery.
Construction and use
The frame uses beech wood and oak veneer with PA plastic glides. Audo states that the chair is made with FSC-certified wood and can be stacked four high, with or without the optional Row Connection.
Dimensions
The upholstered chair measures 47.4 cm wide × 50 cm deep × 78 cm high, with a published seat height of 50.3 cm.
Story
A suspended expression
Matias Møllenbach and Nick Rasmussen developed Ready through an investigation of form-pressing. Audo describes the seat and backrest as appearing suspended because of the chair's cantilevered construction.
From dining to rows
Audo sizes Ready for dining but also equips it for stacking and row connection. The chair stacks four high on its own, while the separate Ready Dining Chair Trolley can hold as many as fifteen.
