Story
Research into balance
Audo says Offset is the result of Norm Architects' research into balance. The studio wanted to make a sofa as simply as possible while embracing a set of paradoxes, substantial yet delicate in appearance, architectural yet inviting and homey.
Offsetting proportions
On their own project page, Norm Architects describe experimenting with offsetting: narrow armrests set against a thick, generous seat, supported by four stubby metal legs. They describe the boxy shape as inspired by minimalist art and softened for a welcoming expression.
