Railway Storage Unit

Overview

Railway is a storage unit by Giacomo Moor, dated 2023, that alternates open parts with closed compartments. Its formal synthesis and essentiality conceal technical solutions that ensure parallelism between the shelves and manage the encounter between uprights and beams.

Construction

The shelves are 22 mm thick wooden planking and the sides and back panel are MDF, all veneered in the same wood finish. The MDF door has V-shaped upper and lower edges and runs on sliding guides of extruded aluminum in a brushed anodized finish. The legs are aluminum 15 x 15 mm, also brushed anodized, and adjustable feet with a black plastic cap carry the unit on the floor.
