Description
Overview
Pluto by Studiopepe is a family of round side tables whose bold geometry draws on traits of Cubism. A broad circular top rests on three solid legs, each with a different diameter, making the support arrangement read differently as the viewer moves around the piece.
Construction
The top is made from stained ash, available in Anthracite Grey Stained or Walnut Stained finishes. The three legs are coloured concrete, offered in Grey Cement or Pink Cement.
Specifications
The larger model 0PLTTB120 measures 120 cm in diameter x 31 cm high. Model 0PLTTB060 measures 60 cm in diameter x 40.5 cm high.
Story
Geometry with changing weight
Studiopepe gives Pluto an intentionally asymmetric footing beneath a regular circular plane. The three supports vary in diameter, turning a simple table silhouette into a composition of unequal solids. Two scales alter that reading: the large version spreads into a low platform, while the compact version has a taller stance. Tacchini's reference to Cubism is expressed through these assembled volumes rather than decoration.
