B&B Italia dates Mjna to 2022 and credits Piero Lissoni. The maker describes a chair that combines the practicality of a functional product with the elegance of steel and thick leather: the steel frame is visible in the back legs, and the rest of the chair is completely covered in fine thick leather.

MA52S dimensions

The MA52S drawing prints 52 cm, 59 cm and 79 cm (axes not labelled on the drawing): 52 cm is the width line below the left view, 59 cm the line below the middle view, and 79 cm the tall vertical. A further 46 cm vertical appears at the right.

Construction

The sheet specifies tubular steel with steel profiles for the frame, thermoplastic for ferrules and the section back, and thick leather over a polyester core for the cover.

Visual uniformity

According to the description, covering everything but the back legs in leather gives Mjna a distinctive visual uniformity, a chromatic harmony that communicates with the delicate curves of the frame.

Stackable by design

The maker points out that the chair is stackable, which it calls an uncommon feature for such a sophisticated chair. Lissoni designed the structure so that it can be stored easily and conveniently after use, for private clients as well as the commercial contract world.
