Description
Overview
The Mirra 2 Chair is a Herman Miller work chair designed by Studio 7.5 and introduced in 2013, a successor to the 2003 Mirra Chair. Herman Miller says it is named for the way it mirrors the body's movements and describes an "earth first" philosophy behind it.

Two backs are offered: the Butterfly Back, a fabric-and-polymer backrest, and the 100% polymer TriFlex back. Both pair with an AireWeave suspension seat, a loop spine that connects to the chair in only two places, passive PostureFit sacral support and the Harmonic 2 tilt on a 5-star base. Stools in the same family are listed on a separate page.

Story
Mirra, then Mirra 2
Herman Miller's timeline records the Mirra Chair in 2003 as the first piece of its office furniture developed from the start on cradle-to-cradle principles, and Mirra 2 in 2013. The product page says Mirra 2 has become 30 percent lighter since the original and that its nylon base and spine now use 100 percent recycled content.
