Story
A circle and a cone
Poltrona Frau calls Mesa an icon of formal purity designed in 1985 by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, now re-released. The table is formed by combining a circle and a cone, which the page says gives a strong, tangible, almost sculptural table.
Solid and light at once
The sheet opens with a sculpted, almost primitive table and describes the whole as solid, compact and light at the same time. The page says the lightness comes from the simplicity of the design.
