Description
Overview
The Mesa Due Rectangular Meeting Table is a leather-topped table by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, from 2016. Its top is built from several panels and rests on a black painted iron frame above steel columns.
Construction
- Top: double panelling in medium-density fibreboard; the lower panel has a textured black paint and the upper panel is entirely upholstered in Pelle Frau ColorSphere leather
- Frame: load-bearing, black painted iron, under the top
- Columns: steel, stabilised inside by a counterweight system and wrapped in Pelle Frau leather whose stitching matches its tone, and a shaped plastic cap at the base protects the floor

Story
From Mesa to the workspace
Mesa is a Lella & Massimo Vignelli project from 1985, and Poltrona Frau has developed an ever broader collection from it. The Mesa Due Meeting Table is the version made for workspaces, with sophisticated materials, high-tech performance and a flexible design.
Leather over iron and steel
The rectangular table carries a top of several panels, entirely upholstered in Pelle Frau leather. A black painted iron frame supports it, and the steel column beneath is stabilised by a counterweight system and dressed in leather with matching stitching.
