Description
Overview
The CEO Cube Desk comes to Poltrona Frau from Lella and Massimo Vignelli. It is an executive desk with an asymmetrical configuration: a cube unit supports one of the two sides and a leg supports the other.
Construction
- Frame: tubular steel with sheet metal crosspieces
- Top and leg: MDF in double panelling, covered in Pelle Frau® leather or in leather with Canaletto walnut
- Cube unit: MDF with two drawers and a file drawer, an open compartment with polished aluminium shelves, and castors for rotation around the connecting column

Story
Volume against surface
The desk sets the volume of a drawer chest-bookcase against the slender surfaces of the desktop and the supporting panel. That contrast gives the desk a streamlined and authoritative feel, characteristics distinctive of contemporary management.
A cube that rotates
The cube unit supports one side of the top, and a leg supports the other. Castors under the cube let it turn around the column that connects it to the desk.
