Story

A chair for television

The official sheet calls Intervista the enduring small TV-studio armchair. Its name and purpose centre on conversation and an upright, supported posture rather than the loose cushioning of a lounge chair.

Vignelli economy

Lella and Massimo Vignelli reduced the construction to a steel frame, elastic suspension and one moulded foam body. The unbroken upholstered outline creates the back and arms as one compact volume.
