Gray Armchair

Overview

Piero Lissoni designed Gray for Living Divani in 2011. It is an essential and delicate armchair with an extremely clean line that focuses on empty geometric shapes.

Construction

The supporting frame is solid oak, and the backrest is multilayer veneered and edged with oak plates, both with a water-based acrylic painting finish in natural or charcoal-dyed. Under the seat sits a lacquered steel chassis, with a suspension of elastic straps in coated rubber, crosswise woven. The seat cushion is polyurethane foam in differentiated density, topped by a quilted goose-down mat (pre-washed, sterilized) stitched in separate compartments, and the backrest cushion is goose down as well. The fabric or leather covering is removable entirely with zippers.

Oak frame, down-filled cushions

The oak frame and multilayer backrest take a natural or charcoal-dyed finish, and a lacquered steel chassis supports the seat. The backrest cushion and the quilted mat over the seat foam are filled with goose down, and zippers let the fabric or leather cover come off.
