Construction
The seat structure is metal tubing with woven elastic belts, and the backrests and armrests are birch plywood panels. The seat is padded with variable-density polyurethane foam, which the page calls CFC-free, and pressed felt. The backrest cushions are filled with goose down in separate horizontal chambers, and the feet are titanium-coloured aluminium.

Story
Saddlery as a starting point
According to the page, the world of saddlery, a realm of luxury craftsmanship and expert processing, is Jean-Marie Massaud's inspiration for GranTorino. In its most original and precious version the system pairs saddle leather with Pelle Frau® leather or fabric, and the saddle leather is cut and moulded by hand to follow the lines and geometries of the seating.
Armrests with a compartment
The page points to the same precision and complex workmanship in the slim high armrest and in the low armrest, which is also available with a little compartment housing a natural oak tray. The sheet describes the optional box version as a door on the top giving access to a compartment lined with light fawn cotton, with a sliding tray in natural oak.
