Construction
The shell and seat lid are birch plywood. Polyurethane foam pads the seat and sides, while the lower plinth is MDF with a texturised painted finish and protective caps. The opening hardware holds the lid open and dampens it as it closes.

Story
Storage within the seat
This is the only Grant model on the shared sheet described with a storage compartment. Poltrona Frau specifies a birch-plywood lid and a mechanism that both locks the open lid in position and softens the closing movement.
Surface treatment
The perimeter is covered by handwoven strips set at 45 degrees. A matching trim frames the padded top; on this 65 × 45 version, the sheet restricts the upholstery to ColorSphere® or Soul.
