Description
Overview
Giulia is the re-edition of model 877 by Gianfranco Frattini, a bergère armchair that is wide and deep, with a high backrest and side headrests. Its softness is translated into sharp, geometric lines that define a continuous shell with winged armrests, resting on an essential wooden frame.
Construction
Inside sits a wooden frame carrying multi-density polyurethane foam, and the outer structure is stained solid ash wood. Upholstery is fabric or leather, and the exposed wooden screws are part of the look.
Specifications
D 95 x H 104 cm (0GLAPL095).
Story
A model dedicated to Gio Ponti's wife
Giulia is the re-edition of the famous model 877 by Gianfranco Frattini. The design is dedicated to the wife of his great master Gio Ponti.
From soft bergère to a geometric shell
The bergère armchair is known for its softness. Frattini turns that softness into sharp, geometric lines that form a continuous shell with winged armrests. The structural elements become part of the furniture's aesthetics, as the exposed wooden screws show.
