Dita system Composition

Overview

The Dita System Composition is the page on which Ligne Roset lists ten compositions of its Dita system, designed by Pagnon & Pelhaître. Every composition shares a height of 1,900 mm and a depth of 450 mm; only the width changes, from 730 to 2,848 mm.

Construction

The uprights are 15 x 15 mm aluminium profiles in an anodised brushed bronze finish, and they encase wooden panels whose interiors are finished in argile lacquer. Handles are injected zamak with a bronze lacquer matching the uprights, and 30 mm feet continue the uprights down.

H 1,900 x W 2,848 x D 450 mm for the widest composition, D62 (H 74 x W 112 x D 17 in on the US page).

Wood panels, not sheet metal

Ligne Roset opens its text for Dita by saying the system might recall metal modular office systems, then separates it from them: its lacquered panels are made of wood rather than sheet metal, and its uprights are discreet and streamlined with a sophisticated finish. Each module carries a handle matched to the uprights.

Ten compositions

The page lists compositions D01, D06, D11, D16, D19, D20, D25, D30, D42 and D62, each with a 3D model. It marks the product as modular, with customised sizes and finishes arranged through an advisor. The system may also be used as a room divider, with a double-sided back panel added behind the chests.
