Description

Five-size coffee-table range

Diagramma Wood coffee tables are offered in five sizes. The representative technical-sheet model measures 150 × 90 × H28 cm.

Continuous wood volume

A 20 mm curved plywood sheet joins contoured upper and lower 20 mm MDF plates. Veneer continues across the top, perimeter and base to form the compact volume described by Minotti.

Finish choices

The sheet specifies glossy or matt reconstituted Palisander and brushed ash with an open-pore lacquer finish. A matt-black MDF base carries adjustable ABS feet.

Story

Diagramma research in another form

Giampiero Tagliaferri developed Diagramma Wood as a group of writing desks, consoles and coffee tables. Minotti describes the group as a functional reinterpretation of the design research behind Diagramma.

Coffee-table expression

Within that group, the coffee tables are the monolithic members: wood wraps over the top, around the edge and down to the base. Their five footprints translate the same curved construction into different low proportions.
