Description

Overview

Daiki "Outdoor" dining little armchair is a Minotti piece designed by Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27, with a curved solid teak shell on a stainless steel leg frame.

Construction

  • Shell: solid teak from Tectona Grandis, First European Quality, kiln-dried and left natural; made by CNC machining and dowel assembly
  • Legs: 25x15 mm stainless steel plate coated in polished Bronze, a polyester powder coat meant for exteriors; protective SEBS glides in Bronze
  • Cushions: foam of polyurethane (high resilience) with water-repellent viscose fibre, which is eco-friendly, inside a polyester cover treated against water; the seat and backrest cushions share a zipper
  • Covers: both covers can be removed completely

Specifications

  • 64 x 71 x 77 cm (W x D x H)

Story

From Japanese culture to the open air

Daiki began with the Brazilian architect's passion for Japanese culture. Outdoors, the open-air area serves as an extension of the living area indoors, in a tribute to Japanese design culture.

Two shell elements at 45°

The curved teak shell is built from two elements joined at a 45° angle, with a sloping backrest that guarantees maximum comfort. American Mid-Century atmospheres are also explored and reinterpreted here, in clean, bold lines and balanced proportions.
