Story

Built on earlier chairs

The design story presents Cosm as a goal Carola Zwick, Roland Zwick and Burkhard Schmitz of the Berlin-based Studio 7.5 had worked toward for years, after Mirra, Setu and Mirra 2. They wanted a chair that adjusts itself so that changing posture is easy.

Prototyping

Herman Miller's design story describes a process of prototyping hundreds of hand-sculpted and 3D-printed parts, with the way the suspension attaches to the frame as one of the main challenges.
