Description

A soft seat over a steel framework

Chemise is a 2010 armchair by Piero Lissoni. Its lacquered tubular-steel support carries a fir seat frame, elastic-strap suspension and structural-elastic back and arm elements. Polyurethane and compartmented goose down form the seat and back cushions.

Removable upholstery

Fabric and leather covers remove with zippers and Velcro. Fabric versions receive a seven-centimetre flounce as standard and may be ordered without it. The armchair drawing gives 90 cm width, 95 cm depth and 83 cm height.

Story

A memory of classical upholstery

Living Divani describes Chemise as a soft, enveloping family that gestures toward the remembered classical sofa. The loose cushions and optional flounce bring that reference into focus, while the exposed tubular support and stainless-steel or timber feet keep the construction visibly contemporary. Natural and ebony-dyed oak feet are alternatives to satin stainless steel.
