Overview

The Capo armchair (2011) is by the London studio Doshi Levien. Cappellini describes a form reminiscent of a hat, with enveloping lines like a shell, slender and robust at once. A matching foot rest is available.

Construction

The armchair is a metal base with a shell of co-injected resin and polyurethane foam. The upholstery is fixed, in leathers and fabrics from the collection, and can cover the whole shell uniformly or contrast the front and the back. The metal tube base is matt varnished, and the feet are loose and made of natural nylon.

A hat and a shell

Cappellini says the form of Capo is reminiscent of a hat, with enveloping lines like a shell. The armchair was created by the London studio Doshi Levien to offer an element of style in a variety of settings, both private and contract.

Front and back in different materials

The fixed upholstery can be one fabric or leather over the whole shell, or one material on the front and another on the back. The metal structure is matt varnished in four colours, and the armchair is certified Greenguard Gold.
