Overview
Roopa is a family of low tables designed by Doshi Levien in 2023. Arper describes simple, essential shapes and a deliberate contrast between a matte frame and a high-gloss top. Round and rectangular formats are included.
Construction
The representative round table uses a three-leg base and a painted MDF top structure, 4 cm thick, finished with tempered glass. The collection page also states that the MDF is FSC-certified and that the tables can be disassembled for reuse or recycling.
Specifications
The official article for model 7300 states a height of 36 cm.
Story
Small, significant details
Arper presents Roopa as a study in basic forms whose character comes from surface, texture and carefully resolved details. The matte structure and glossy upper surface create the collection's central visual contrast.
A living-space companion
Doshi Levien's interview on the collection page frames a sofa and table as the basic elements needed to establish a living environment. Roopa was conceived to sit comfortably with Shaal and other Arper collections.
