Artek's page says Bar Stool 64 is symmetrical and non-directional, so it is always positioned the right way.

The page places it in kitchens, cafes, bars and at countertops, and one of its captions reads "High dining at the Uppetite Restaurant, Brussels". Its other caption places a clear-lacquered birch version in Aalto's studio in Munkkiniemi.
