Description
Overview
Aero D is a writing desk designed by Shibuleru in 2022. Linear in its reading of the needs of contemporary living, it is described as a piece of furniture in balance, the result of a progressive formal subtraction to reach the essence.
Construction
The monobloc top and the optional side shelves (right or left) are in veneered MDF, fitted with holes and bushings for fixing the legs. The worktop is made of two tops joined by a central "H" support, which leaves a front open compartment of 71 x 27 cm, 6 cm high, and a rear compartment reached through a magnetised panel, for electrical sockets and chargers. The upper top is veneered in four options: chestnut, left natural or dyed charcoal, and Stone Oak®, both with a water-based finish, or multilaminar Striped Grey veneer with an acrylic finish; the lower top and the shelves are matt black lacquer. The legs are Ø22 mm steel rod with inserted fixing elements and integrated height-adjustable plastic feet, in epoxy powder coating.

A desk reduced to its essence
Shibuleru designed Aero D in 2022 as a complement that reads the needs of contemporary living in a linear way. The desk is a piece of furniture in balance, reached through a progressive formal subtraction.
Two tops, a compartment behind a magnetic panel
The worktop is two tops fixed together by a central "H" support. That leaves an open compartment at the front and a closed one at the back, entered through a magnetised panel and meant for electrical sockets and chargers. Ø22 mm steel rod legs carry the veneered MDF tops, with optional side shelves on the right or the left.
