Background

LucidiPevere is the studio of Paolo Lucidi (born 1974) and Luca Pevere (born 1977). Both graduated from the Politecnico di Milano, and between 2002 and 2006 they gained professional experience working with Marc Sadler and Marco Ferreri on projects for international companies. They began developing projects together in 2003 and founded the studio in 2006.

Signature Style

The two work constantly on new types of products, using uncommon techniques and aesthetic means to reach the right formal solution. They collaborate with companies from different countries and cultures, among them Living Divani, Ligne Roset, Casamania, DeCastelli, Foscarini, Glass Idromassaggio, Normann Copenhagen, Comforty, Kristalia, Fiam, ColomboDesign, Dimensione Disegno, Teracrea and Samsung.

Notable Works

For Living Divani they designed the Poncho outdoor armchair (2014): a curved tubular steel frame with a cover outlined in a Kevlar weave, which reveals an intimate space and is enhanced with plenty of cushions. Awards include the Red Dot Design Award (2009), the iF Design Award (2018), Compasso d'Oro honourable mentions (2014), Good Design Award Chicago (2009 and 2017) and the Leuchte des Jahres title (2011).

Legacy

Their products have been shown in museums in Europe and the United States. They exhibited in Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, Germany, France and the United States, were invited to Vienna Design Week as one of the ten European players of the Passionswege 2011 event, and have taught at several Italian design universities.
