Description
Overview
The Poncho outdoor armchair is a 2014 design by LucidiPevere: curved tubular steel forms the frame, a cover outlined in a Kevlar weave wraps it, and a generous set of cushions fills the seat.
Construction
The frame is ø22 mm steel tube, galvanized for outdoor use and given a polyester epoxy powder coat, white (RAL 9010) or black (RAL 9017). An HPL seat panel is screwed to the frame. Polyurethane foam of open-cell structure and polyester fibres pad the seat and backrest cushions, which sit under a draining fabric cover. The cushion covers come off with zips, and unravelling the Kevlar weave releases the structure cover.

A curved steel armchair wrapped in a Kevlar weave
LucidiPevere designed the Poncho armchair in 2014. Its snug shapes come from a curved tubular steel frame, and the cover that outlines the frame is woven in Kevlar, which reveals an intimate space enhanced with plenty of cushions.
Frame, weave and cushions
The galvanized ø22 mm steel tube carries a polyester epoxy powder coat, and an HPL panel is screwed to the frame as the seat. The Kevlar weave of the structure cover is offered in grey or black and can be removed by unravelling it. Seat and backrest cushions are foam and fibre filled, covered in outdoor fabrics, and their covers open with zips. Seat depth: 56 cm.
