**クリストフ・デルクール（Christophe Delcourt）**は1966年、パリ近郊のサン＝モール＝デ＝フォッセに生まれました。Cours Florentで演劇を学び、1988年に卒業。舞台美術への関心から素材や空間の中の物体へと興味が広がり、やがて家具デザインへと進みました。1995年に最初のコレクションを発表し、オブジェは自ら制作する一方、家具の製作は家具職人と鍛冶職人の兄弟に託しました。彼らから組み立ての技術や職人技を学んだことが、その後の仕事の礎となっています。
デザインの特徴
彼の作品は彫刻的なアプローチと、木・石・陶磁器・ブロンズ・テキスタイル・レザーにおける高い仕上げの質で知られています。Minottiは、彼の時流を捉えつつも控えめなエレガンス、素材と色彩への並外れた感性、そして構造のすべてのディテールに注がれる仕立て服のような丁寧さを評価しています。
代表作
2000年のPENブックケースは、自身のブランドDelcourt Collectionの特徴的なスタイルを確立しました。その後、NUAテーブル、KAYフロアランプ、DULチェアが続きます。Minottiのためには、Louの収納ユニット、テーブル、コーヒーテーブル、Fil Noirアームチェアと Noorコーヒーテーブル（2017年）、Granvilleシーティングシステムと Danテーブル（2018年）、そしてDanielsシーティングシステムとAmberコーヒーテーブル・ローユニット（2019年）をデザインしています。
レガシー
Delcourt Collectionは、2003年以来パリのBabylone通り47番地にスタジオとショウルームを構えており、現在は500点を超えるカタログを展開しています。いずれも受注生産でカスタマイズ可能です。1999年にはMaison & Objetで「Designer of the Year」に選ばれました。
