Benjamin Graindorge

Background

Benjamin Graindorge was born on 10 August 1980. He obtained his diploma from E.N.S.C.I. on 15 March 2006 with a special mention for his diploma project, Paysage domestique / Environnement naturant, four contemplative objects mentored by Erwan Bouroullec. Before that, from March 2003 to March 2004, he interned with Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.

Signature Style

His diploma work centred on contemplative objects, and his thesis, Sentinel - ARIZONA, studied landscape and contemplation through the western, mentored by Marie-Haude Caraës.

Notable Works

At Ligne Roset he designed the Sandmist rug, the Bolet vase and bowl sets, the Apogée floor lamp, the Lace footstools, the Nef wall light, floor lamp and suspended lights, the Kujoyama shelving unit and the Astrée floor lamp.

Legacy

After his diploma he assisted Mathieu Lehanneur and then RADI Designers, where he worked on appliances for Moulinex and Violet and a perfume bottle for Prada. His work was shown at the Design Parade in Villa Noailles and the Saint-Etienne design biennale in 2006, and in 2008 he began collaborating with Domeau & Pérès.
