Collection Story
Origin
Gianfranco Frattini drew Sesann in 1970, and Tacchini reissued it in 2015, and the family now sits among its Re-Editions. The maker places the family in a changing way of living in which a less rigid, more relaxed manner of sitting was becoming normal, and it sells the sofa as an icon of informal comfort.
Design Language
The identity of the family lies in the steel tube that stays visible outside the soft volumes and holds the padding in shape. Under the cover there is a wooden frame with polyurethane foam. The metal is colour-coated or polished, the feet are stained solid ash, and the cover is fabric or leather, upholstered by hand.
