起源
Rey Collectionは、HAYがスイスのメーカーDietikerと共に展開するチェア、スツール、テーブルのファミリーです。HAYは元となるコレクションを1971年のものとし、スイスのデザイナーBruno Reyによるものとしています。このコレクションは、1971年にDietikerがStein am Rheinで量産を開始した、一脚の積み重ね可能なチェアから生まれました。当初の名称は3300でしたが、HAYの説明によれば、その後は単に Rey として知られるようになったとのことです。
ファミリー全体の共通点
HAYの2022年のニュースページによれば、このコレクションは統一されたシルエットと、ネジを使わない製造工程を維持しています。また、角が丸く、しっかりとした構成が全てのアイテムを一体感のあるものにしています。クラシックなデザインと比べると、新しいサイズでアップデートされています。カラーはオリジナルのものに加え、HAYが選んだ新しいトーンが加わりました。チェアとバースツールは、座面をアップホルスタリー仕様にすることも可能です。
