Collection Story
Origin
Manarola is a Ligne Roset seating family designed by Philippe Nigro. Its starting point was the brand's all-foam seats of the Seventies, whose exceptional softness Nigro set out to reinvent.
Design Language
Each piece reads as a single big cushion set on a base that is light but assertive. A metal frame is wrapped in foam, and solid wood buttresses carry the back and form the base under the upholstered seat. Newly developed ultra-flexible polyurethane foams sharpen the soft, welcoming feel, and horizontal bands of stitching pick out the slope of the seat, the lumbar support and the headrest.
Key Pieces
The seating comes as a Large settee, a Medium settee, an Armchair and a Swivelling armchair. The armchair can also stand on a circular base in brilliant-polished stainless steel that turns through 360°, and a footstool on four legs in the same steel finish completes the group. All of them offer 48 covering materials.
