Description
Overview
Philippe Nigro designed the Manarola Large settee, a three-place model from Ligne Roset. Its seat seems to be one large cushion resting on a base of solid wood buttresses.
Construction
The frame uses steel tubing, wire and mesh, enveloped in foam. Seat and back are high resilience polyurethane Bultex foam with an ultra-flexible polyurethane comfort layer, and an upholsterer can remove the quilted cover.

Size: 2,100 x 1,020 x 820 mm (W x D x H). Weight 88 kg, with a 370 mm seat height and 3 places. 48 covering materials are offered.
Story
From foam seating to Manarola
Nigro took on the task of reinventing the extreme comfort of the all-foam seating Ligne Roset made in the Seventies. In the Large settee, the upholstered seat looks like a single large cushion above the solid wood buttresses that carry the back.
Softer foams, quilted cover
Ultra-flexible polyurethane foams keep the welcoming feel and add softness with use. The cover is quilted with polyester and finished with twin needle stitching, and horizontal bands of stitching emphasise the slopes of the seat, lumbar support and headrest.
