Origin
Le Bambole is a series by Mario Bellini, made by B&B Italia, dated to 1972 by the brand and given the Compasso d'Oro in 1979. B&B Italia calls it an "icon of timeless contemporaneity".
Design Language
The page names three qualities: a structure that seems absent, an extremely natural shape, and comfort, softness and elasticity in one look. The first pieces had a metal structure inside polyurethane; recycled polyethylene now gives the structure, and the parts can be fully disassembled for recycling.
