Collection Story
Origin
Kobold is a modular collection by Erwan Bouroullec for Ligne Roset, inspired by ship's gangways. Its elements are functional and can be reconfigured into a living platform for sitting, lying down, storing and resting. The range is made of one-armed settees and daybeds, inspired by new, ultra urban lifestyles in which a settee serves for formal sitting or to "wallow", for meals or work, and for lying down to sleep.
Design Language
Kobold soft is the soft and low version, described as very contemporary and "Millennials" oriented. A 36 cm seat and many feather cushions give it a relaxed character. Its design idea is manufacturing done better, with less material, and the foams and structures are separable so that materials can be sorted at the end of the settee's life.
Key Pieces
The Composition comes in nine layouts, each 710 mm high. The Chaise longue with armrest and the 1-armed settee left with armrest are both 2,070 x 970 x 710 mm (W x D x H).
