Collection Story

Origin

Guild goes back to a shelf in the Klampenborg home that Peter Hvidt designed for his family in 1952. &Tradition, working closely with the Hvidt and Mølgaard families, put the shelf into general production for the first time, in two sizes. Page, fact sheet and press release date the design to 1954.

Design Language

The shelf has an undulating form that echoes the curving paths of the family garden. Its shape also draws on a desk that Hvidt & Mølgaard entered in the 1951 Copenhagen Cabinet Makers Guild Exhibition.
