Collection Story
Origin
Kartell's A.I. family page describes the family as a symbol of recycled materials and as the first design creation generated by artificial intelligence, with Philippe Starck's flair joined to an algorithm. The company's museum timeline files the first A.I. chair under 2019 and names Autodesk as a collaborator beside Starck.
Design Language
The page speaks of generative design and a distinctive, comfortable and eco-sustainable product, one that speeds up production and reduces waste. Later members keep that line: the Lite chair drops the armrests, the stools carry a wide seat or share one mould across three heights, and the console and lounge chair extend it into other rooms.
