Story
A brief given to an algorithm
Kartell's text explains how the chair came about: creative thinking, the company's know-how and artificial intelligence merged to develop a model from an algorithm. Its starting point was the brief set by the designer and the company: a comfortable chair with the strength and solidity needed, true to one of Kartell's core values, an injection-moulded industrial product of high aesthetic quality.
Recycled material and Kartell loves the planet
Kartell places A.I. within the industrial manifesto Kartell loves the planet. In its news item on the IMM 2020 presentation in the Cologne flagship store, the company calls A.I. the first chair made of 100% recycled material and names Autodesk, a US producer of 3D engineering and entertainment software, as the collaborator alongside Philippe Starck.
