Wall Sofa Bed

Overview

Wall Sofa Bed is a 2006 Piero Lissoni design with a daytime sofa identity and a concealed bed mechanism. When opened, it provides a generous sleeping surface.

Construction

Its frame combines double-panelled poplar and pine with differentiated-density polyurethane padding. A high-tensile steel orthopedic base supports the included steel-spring mattress.

Bed specification

The two mattresses are 190 × 13 × 146 cm and 190 × 13 × 160 cm. Seat depth is 74 cm, and the armrests may be narrowed to seven centimetres on request.

Day and night

Wall Sofa Bed keeps its second identity hidden during the day. At night, the mechanism opens beyond the upholstered shell to form a generous sleeping surface.

A separate Wall model

Dated 2006, the sofa bed follows the 2000 Wall modular sofa but has a fixed convertible specification. Its bed frame, mattress options and requested narrow armrests belong to this model rather than the wider modular programme.
