Description
Overview
Turner is a modular seating system by Hannes Wettstein for Molteni&C. According to the page it shifts between formal elegance and relaxed comfort, and that its defining feature is modularity: settees in several sizes, corner elements, chaises longues and poufs combine freely. An intuitive mechanism adjusts the depth of the seating.

Construction
On the datasheet the interior is built of solid fir (Picea abies) with chipboard panels and elastic straps; the seat cushions contain sterilised feathers, the back cushions polyurethane flakes and sterilised down feathers in compartments, and the feet are anodised extruded aluminium (finish: shiny aluminium). Outer covers are removable.

Story
Formal moment or relaxing space
The Turner datasheet opens with a question, "Formal moment or relaxing space?", and answers that the seating system designed by Hannes Wettstein combines comfort with refinement. The page describes the sofa as a system that adapts to contemporary living spaces, with understated lines and thoughtful proportions for intimate settings and expansive interiors alike.
One mechanism, several postures
According to the page, the depth of the seating adjusts with ease, so that upright conversation and moments of quiet repose are both supported. The datasheet says the system responds to varying needs of comfort and posture through this easy mechanism.
