Fredericia says it is crafted in Denmark at its upholstery workshop in Svendborg.

Story

A Danish landscape sofa

Fredericia refers to Delphi as the iconic Danish "landscape" sofa and describes it as a modern sofa of extremely high quality. The Delphi collection section of the page presents the sofa as recognised today as a contemporary classic that shows Wettstein's industrial and methodical design approach, and it dates the series of sofas and single modules to 2007.

Details of the upholstery

The page names the stitching along the backrest and along the seat cushions as a signature detail, and says the armrests are unique and show off Fredericia's upholstery skills. It describes the backrest as formed by clean lines and precise curves, a shape that it says can only be achieved through expert upholstery, and calls the sofa carefully hand-upholstered.

Comfort

Fredericia gives the comfort build-up as structured hard foam topped with a layer of down. The product sheet and the construction text instead list a duvet of cut foam and fibres, so the two texts name different top layers.
