Story
Made for a New York hotel
According to Fredericia, Swoon was first designed for the 11 Howard Hotel in New York, and the collection was named Swoon because the word describes an intense feeling of pleasure. The sheet for Model 1770 gives 2016 as the year of the design by Space Copenhagen.
A chair between two types
Space Copenhagen designed the chair to fill the gap between traditional lounge chairs and larger easy chairs. Fredericia calls the result a less formal typology with a recognisable and contemporary character, and the page names lobbies, receptions and break-out areas as places where versatile use is in focus.

Comfort
The page says Swoon is designed to adapt intuitively to the body while giving good back support, and that the seat and back cushions are attached as one piece. The product sheet describes a removable seat and back cushion of foam with a removable cover, so the two texts differ on how the cushions are fixed.
