Overview
The Soufflot Armchair is a Ligne Roset design by Jean-Philippe Nuel, offered with 52 covering materials.
Construction
Armrests and back stand on a structure of mechanically-soldered tubular steel, covered in foam and quilted polyester of 110 g/m². The seat structure is 3-layer particleboard. The structure is raised on a base in solid black-stained ash or natural-varnished solid oak. The seat is suspended on linked biconical steel wire springs.

Story
Steel structure raised on wood
The armchair has a tubular steel structure for the armrests and back, and a 3-layer particleboard seat. This whole structure is raised on a base in solid black-stained ash or natural-varnished solid oak.
Springs, foams and stitching
Blocks of linked biconical steel wire springs suspend the seat, which is made of high resilience polyurethane foams of 40 and 37 kg/m3. The back is injected polyurethane foam of 35 kg/m3 clad in a 37 kg/m3 foam, and 5 mm baguette stitching follows the periphery of the back and seat.
